You may want to insulate the exterior wall of the garage and will probably want to ask the PM if you can do that yourself as well. Make sure to walk through the house as they are building it to make sure things are being put up as expected. I caught a couple of things that got fixed quickly.JQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09292935706138479540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6035869002161410041.post-45188059605466514212012-10-28T22:05:08.255-07:002012-10-28T22:05:08.255-07:00We are about to break ground for our Shakespear. ...We are about to break ground for our Shakespear. I was wondering, has anyone ran their own speaker wiring? Was this allowed by your PM? Would like to save a little on cost if we can instead of going through Guardian. Thanks? Also, any suggestions for pre-construction meeting would be appreciate it. We have our meeting in a week and already making a list of questions.<br />nlshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13144785195354690636noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6035869002161410041.post-6279557957351839942012-06-21T18:36:32.849-07:002012-06-21T18:36:32.849-07:00Conditions aren't met? Our home has about 4200 finished square feet. Three months seems to be pretty much the norm. Glad your PM was willing to help you out with some of your requests. All of us who have built or are building understand the excitement over a hole in the ground :)Rachelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13358539472223402638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6035869002161410041.post-84234145527362450062012-06-21T14:06:18.350-07:002012-06-21T14:06:18.350-07:00The vent is a whole house vent. It is on a timer, which you can modify so it doesnt run at 3am and wake you up.JRhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03234902719659675588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6035869002161410041.post-75952952273671267912012-06-21T13:18:36.186-07:002012-06-21T13:18:36.186-07:00I want to see the hole! As for your house being done before others, they may have a contingency where they can't start construction before they sell their current house or something like that. Three months is the normal time for Ryan Homes. Some houses get done before that.CMMhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05505532298336603448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6035869002161410041.post-86137526247967337972012-06-21T11:23:24.603-07:002012-06-21T11:23:24.603-07:00Yeah...I never thought I'd be so happy to see ...Yeah...I never thought I'd be so happy to see a hole and the dirt hill sitting next to it.JQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09292935706138479540noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6035869002161410041.post-90107217205640976102012-06-21T11:10:14.738-07:002012-06-21T11:10:14.738-07:00Congratulations, you have a HOLE! I drove pass one lot yesterday and thought to myself, wow, they have a hole. It's good stuff. Only new home builders can appreciate this kind of stuff.RickandNadasehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440625366611097007noreply@blogger.com
